Al Turaz Al Andalusí group is an Arabic (Syrian) music group composed of 4 musicians, a singer, 2 dancers and an oriental dancer who practices belly dancing among other dances.
The group managed by Salah Sabbagh shows and fuses ancient Syrian Aleppo traditional music such us: Al Tarab Al Andalusí or Al Inshad Aldini. On the other hand, singing is led by Mahmoud Fares, one of the most famous traditional Aleppo singers and Sufi songs in the country. Their traditional dances are: Walking stick dance, whirling dervish, Turkish Sufi Aleppo dance and Tanura dance from Syria, danced by Mahamed Babli and Ahmad Alrifai.
Besides, in the performance, Cristina Gadea takes us into the origins of oriental dance with her movements until we go back to the exoticism of India, traveling with the Turkish gypsies, discovering the essence of Egypt and Morocco reaching the South of Spain. There, these influences are mixed with the Andalusian, Shefardi and Flamenco traditions. It will be a folk journey that will not leave anyone indifferent. Their traditional instruments are: kanún, daf, rik and darbuka.
